Data tables

Data as of 3 October 2026

Reference figures for the sector, drawn from DefiLlama's open data and refreshed as a dated snapshot: the on-chain reserves attributed to centralised exchanges, the circulating supply of every stablecoin above $100M, total value locked on every chain above $10M and in every DeFi protocol above $100M, and a classified record of crypto hacks since 2011. Every page states the date its numbers were taken, what the figure measures and what it leaves out, and places the entity among its peers. These are tables to read against the articles, not rankings of quality, safety or merit, and not recommendations.

FamilyEntriesTotalWhich is
Exchange reserves 36 exchanges $319.0B attributed reserves, all exchanges
Stablecoins 48 stablecoins $310.0B circulating supply, all stablecoins
Chains 79 chains $95.1B total value locked, all chains (DefiLlama's per-chain figures, summed)
DeFi protocols 225 protocols $275.9B total value locked, all protocols (summed, so an asset re-deposited through several protocols counts more than once)
Hacks 1,293 incidents $21.1B value lost, all recorded incidents
